Massage Mudjimba.
Mudjimba is the quieter neighbour sitting between Marcoola and Twin Waters: smaller, more residential, less tourist-heavy than Coolum or Mooloolaba. Most Mudjimba massage clients are long-term locals on regular rotation, with the occasional visitor from the Twin Waters resort nearby.
Massage in Mudjimba.
Mudjimba sits in a narrow stretch of coast between the Marcoola airport precinct and the Twin Waters resort, with the result that the suburb itself stays smaller and more local-resident than the larger beach towns on either side.
A typical Mudjimba massage client is a long-term local resident, often booking regular fortnightly or monthly sessions for the standard mix of complaints: lower back from work and parenting, shoulder tension from desk hours, the chronic stuff that builds up over a working life. Many have been in the suburb for years and book the same rhythm regardless of season.
Remedial massage Mudjimba clients claim through extras is the dominant booking pattern, with Kahuna sessions a smaller slice often booked when locals want a deeper restorative reset rather than the standard treatment frame. The visitor mix is quieter: occasional bookings from the Twin Waters resort guests who've wandered up the beach to find the quieter end.
About Mudjimba.
Mudjimba is one of the older established beach suburbs on the central Sunshine Coast. Quiet, family-friendly, with a patrolled beach and a strong long-term-resident community that defines the local character.
Mudjimba Beach runs along the coast from Marcoola in the north to the Maroochy River mouth at the south end, where Twin Waters sits across the river. The patrolled section in front of the Mudjimba Surf Life Saving Club is one of the quieter family beaches on the coast, away from the bigger tourist crowds further south. Old Woman Island, the small rocky islet visible offshore a few hundred metres out, is the suburb's signature view and a popular paddleboard destination on still days.
The suburb runs back from the beach across a compact residential grid, with Power Memorial Park at the heart of the local community and the cafes around the Esplanade as the village social spine. The David Low Way runs along the western edge as the main access spine connecting Mudjimba up to Marcoola and the airport precinct, and south to Twin Waters and Maroochydore.
All three core services available locally.
Remedial massage
The dominant booking for Mudjimba locals. Assessment-led work for the chronic patterns common in working-age and older residents. Health fund rebatable, which matters for the regular monthly rotation most locals book.
More on remedialKahuna bodywork
Hawaiian-lineage flowing bodywork. A smaller slice of the Mudjimba mix, usually booked when locals want a proper restorative reset. Suits the unhurried beach-lifestyle pace of the suburb. Not rebatable.

Mobile massage Mudjimba clients book is one of the shortest setups in my service area, given the 12km distance. Particularly suited to local families and the older residents who'd rather the session come to them.
More on mobileMobile to Mudjimba.
12km east of Valdora via the David Low Way. Around 15 minutes most days, one of the shortest trips on the service area. The drive is mostly suburban arterial road, consistent travel times year-round.
Beach strip and residential.
The Mudjimba postcode is geographically small. Beachfront homes along the Esplanade, the residential streets running back to the David Low Way, and the family-home pockets around Power Memorial Park all covered at the same rate.
The short trip means Mudjimba bookings often get same-day availability when slots open up, similar to Coolum and Yandina.
Where I work in Mudjimba.
Two options for Mudjimba clients: mobile to your home (the most-booked option), or in-clinic at Valdora which is a short 15-minute drive west.
Mobile across Mudjimba
Beachfront homes along the Mudjimba Esplanade, residential streets behind Power Memorial Park, family homes through the suburb's compact grid, and the older addresses along the David Low Way all covered. Mobile is the popular choice for the family demographic and the older local residents.
In-clinic at Valdora
92 Thomson Valley Road, Valdora. A 15-minute drive west of Mudjimba via the David Low Way. Quiet, off-grid, purpose-built treatment space. Off-street parking. The drive is short enough that the clinic visit is practical even for monthly bookings.
Mudjimba health fund rebates.
Most Mudjimba clients with private health extras claim remedial sessions through their fund. Worth checking your level of cover before booking.
Most extras covers include remedial massage. The session needs to be a remedial session (not Kahuna or relaxation) for the rebate to apply.
I'm ANTA-registered with a Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015). Most private health funds (Bupa, Medibank, NIB, HCF, AHM, HBF and others) include remedial in their extras list. Rebates typically range from $40 to $90 per session depending on your fund. Currently no HICAPS, payment upfront, receipt to your fund afterwards. Only the session fee is claimable, not the mobile surcharge. Full rebate details.

Mudjimba FAQ.
Do you have a clinic in Mudjimba?
No, the clinic is at 92 Thomson Valley Road, Valdora, about 12km west of Mudjimba via the David Low Way. For Mudjimba clients, both options work well: mobile sessions to homes along the Mudjimba Esplanade and through the residential streets behind, or a 15-minute drive west to the Valdora clinic. The short distance makes either format equally practical.
How much is the travel surcharge to Mudjimba?
Mudjimba sits 12km from my Valdora base, comfortably inside the standard mobile zone. The mobile surcharge runs $10 to $15 on top of the session rate. Mudjimba is one of the shorter trips on my regular service area, which makes short-notice and same-day bookings more achievable here than for the further-out suburbs. The exact surcharge is confirmed at booking based on your address.
Can I claim my Mudjimba session through my health fund?
Yes, when the session is remedial massage. I'm ANTA-registered (HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage), which most private health funds accept under their extras cover for remedial. Rebates typically run $40 to $90 per session depending on your fund and level of cover. The Mudjimba client base is mostly long-term local residents on regular cover, which makes the rebate process straightforward. Currently no HICAPS, payment upfront, receipt to your fund afterwards. See the dedicated rebates page.
